Who is Jenny Tidman?
Jenny Tidman started her gardening career at Hampton Court Palace where she successfully carried out a four year apprenticeship and achieved a distinction in each of the following examinations.
- Royal Horticultural Society (RHS)
- City and Guilds stages 1 & 2
- Certificated Gardeners Exam (CGE)
Jenny worked in all areas of horticulture to include greenhouse work; propagation, starting seedlings through to cuttings and tropical plants.
During this time Jenny was involved in the dressing of the Royal Hall for international royalty, which included managing and ensuring the growth of all the plants used in the displays.
Following her time at Hampton Court Jenny moved to Wiltshire where she travelled weekly to Kew Gardens. Working in association with John Brookes (famous landscape designer) she enhanced her knowledge embracing landscape and design. Jenny completed a garden and landscape design course, once again achieving a distinction.
Following this, Jenny was asked by Kew Gardens to lecture on plant identification, which she did for a year.
